Job: Plant Manager – Primary Operations

Division Manager – Primary Operations Description:In this position you will be responsible for the overall performance of an EAF steelmaking operation including steelmaking, continuous casting and refining.

• Direct and manage the staff.  Determine staffing levels and direct hiring of salaried and hourly personnel.
• Prepare and implement the Business Plan.  Develop operating schedule to meet sales forecast.  Work closely with managers to ensure that goals are realized.
• Develop and manage the budget.
• Assure adherence to the labor/management agreement.
• Assure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with Metallurgical staff to assure product quality.  Maintain total quality management system.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and application of new technology.
• Provide leadership, integrating activities of various plant departments.
• Serve as a member of the Corporate Leadership Team.

Qualifications: BS Degree in an Engineering field;  expert knowledge of EAF, Refining and Continuous Casting technologies; department level experience managing operations and maintenance; experience with budgeting and P&L at a department level
